It often happens in our life that we do not notice things that are around us, something very important, that exists a lot of years and may be of great cultural and historical value.
More than 10 years I have been passing the way near the monastery in Goshiv from time to time but I have been there only twice so far.
It is situated on the hill and can be easily seen from the road. You will be impressed by the silence and peace on the territory of the monastery the very moment you get there. It seems that only a minute ago you thought about different things, planned something, made jokes and now you have got here and all your thoughts are somewhere far away. It’s a “rest for the soul” as for me. And you’ll remember the views you saw there for a long time.
I highly appreciate the work of people who live there. They take care of the monastery, restore it, add something new and interesting to the architecture – simplicity is combined with greatness here and this brings holiness to the whole atmosphere.
If you have a chance to get to that places don’t miss an opportunity to visit this monastery and you’ll never regret. It is quite difficult to describe everything in simple words. It is much better to be there and to see everything yourselves.
